New Delhi, India In a time when student engagement often struggles to go beyond textbooks and classrooms, one young changemaker at Guru Tegh Bahadur 4th Centenary Engineering College (GTB4CEC) is rewriting the narrative through a powerful blend of creativity, leadership, and community-driven innovation.

Meet Adarsh Pandey, a dynamic student and the Founder of Shutter Fly, the official media community of GTB4CEC. What started as a vision to unite creatively inclined students has now evolved into one of the college’s most vibrant and visible communities, sparking collaborations, conversations, and a cultural shift on campus.

Shutter Fly: A Movement, Not Just a Media Club

In less than a year since its inception, Shutter Fly has grown from a passion project to a recognized platform that has redefined student media engagement at GTB4CEC. With an eye for storytelling and an ear to the ground, the community has led several high-impact collaborations with internal clubs, college societies, and even external creative partners.

From campus event coverage and creative campaigns to social awareness content, Shutter Fly has become the go-to platform for everything that echoes student life. Its members handpicked for their potential and mentored to reach their peak are not just photographers or videographers; they are digital storytellers with a purpose.

“Shutter Fly is more than just about visuals. It’s about giving voice to the energy, thoughts, and unseen talents within the student community,” shares Ayush. “We want every student to feel seen, heard, and celebrated.”

In a landmark move that set a precedent for peer-led innovation, Adarsh launched GTB4CEC’s first-ever college-level podcast series, a fresh and compelling platform where students share their journeys, ambitions, and honest opinions.

Titled “Voices of GTB”, the podcast has featured a wide spectrum of guests – from academic achievers and startup founders to artists and activists within the student body. The series doesn’t just entertain; it educates and inspires.

“Podcasts are intimate. They allow us to dive deeper into people’s experiences,” Ayush explains. “We wanted to bring out the stories that usually remain hidden in classroom corners or college corridors.”

This pioneering initiative has not only raised the bar for student-led media initiatives in Delhi’s engineering colleges but also inspired other institutions to think beyond traditional communication methods.

Beyond Campus: Mentorship, Mindset & Impact at Hiked.in

Adarsh’s creative journey doesn’t end at the college gates. Outside the academic walls of GTB4CEC, he serves as a Mentor at Hiked.in, a platform dedicated to nurturing the next generation of thinkers, designers, and communicators.

In this role, he mentors aspiring students in soft skills, creative thinking, and design fundamentals. Whether it’s helping someone conquer stage fear, guiding a design portfolio, or unlocking a creative block, his approach is rooted in empathy, clarity, and personal connection.

“Mentorship is about more than teaching it’s about unlocking potential,” he says. “Every young person has a spark. Sometimes, all they need is someone to believe in them first.”

A Beacon of Leadership and Cultural Revival

Peers and professors alike recognize Adarsh as a catalyst of transformation, someone who brings people together, lights the path, and builds platforms where others can shine. His leadership style is marked by inclusivity, innovation, and the rare ability to turn ideas into action with minimal resources and maximum impact.

Recently, Shutter Fly collaborated with multiple departments during the college’s annual fest, organizing a campus-wide media coverage team, setting up interactive booths, and broadcasting event highlights live a first in GTB4CEC history.

Adarsh has brought an energy that was missing for years,” remarks a senior faculty member. “Students now feel more connected and expressive than ever before.”

What’s Next?

The journey has only begun. With upcoming plans to expand Shutter Fly into an inter-college network, launch a digital magazine, and organize Delhi’s first Student Media Summit, Adarsh envisions GTB4CEC as a national leader in student-led digital storytelling and campus journalism.

In a world full of noise, Adarsh Pandey is helping young voices find their frequency and be heard loud and clear.

Final Word

Creativity, when paired with community and purpose, becomes a force of transformation. GTB4CEC’s media landscape has been forever altered by the vision and leadership of Adarsh Pandey. As the college prepares for its next academic chapter, it does so with the echo of voices that now have a stage, a mic, and a movement to call their own.
