Have Your Say: Meshpoints’ Annual Innovation Ecosystem Survey Needs Your Input

Published

on

Meshpoints has opened its annual Innovation Ecosystem Survey, asking founders, investors, mentors, and ecosystem supporters across Western Australia to share their views on what’s working in the state’s innovation scene, where the gaps are, and what kind of support is needed most.

The survey closes on Friday, May 15th, takes five to seven minutes to complete, and is fully anonymous. Respondents can opt in at the end to go into the draw to win one of three $100.00 Visa gift cards.

Why Meshpoints is asking

Meshpoints — powered by Spacecubed and supported by Lotterywest — has been mapping the WA innovation ecosystem for several years, with the data feeding directly into how it shapes its funded challenges, partner activity, and ecosystem initiatives. In other words, the responses help determine where future grant rounds and ecosystem support are directed.

The survey has been developed in partnership with independent research organisation Huber Social, with all data stored securely and analysed in aggregate. Beyond informing Meshpoints’ own programs, the results also contribute to a broader “ecosystem pulse”, helping identify patterns, gaps, and opportunities that affect how innovation is supported and scaled across the state.

Who Meshpoints wants to hear from

Meshpoints is inviting input from anyone connected to WA’s innovation and entrepreneurship ecosystem, including startup founders and entrepreneurs at any stage, investors, mentors, coaches, ecosystem supporters, and program operators across the public, private, and not-for-profit sectors.

The aim is to capture a current snapshot of the ecosystem from the wider network of people who fund, shape, and support WA’s innovation activity — not just those running companies.

How to take part

The survey is live now and closes on Friday, May 15th. To enter the draw for the Visa gift cards, respondents need to provide contact details in an optional section at the end. The rest of the survey remains anonymous regardless of whether you opt in.

If you’re building, supporting, or shaping innovation in WA, this is a short, low-effort way to put your perspective on the record and have it count toward the decisions that follow.
